insulation - How to insulate under a front door - Home Improvement Stack Exchange

100 year old brick house new front door. thee door awesome @ stoppiing cold, there space under door cold still comes in. put fiberglass pink insulation in there, didn’t much. think need stop air flow better.

one option fill spray foam. i’m not sure if want glued eternity. , believe should fill cracks, not voids.

another cut piece of plastic , glue/caulk along front (so insulation behind).

any other ideas?

that opening sealed off riser. make sure it's tight fit no gaps. horizontal pieces extend farther framing, add wood extend vertical framing make 4-sided box riser mounts against. caulk between riser , threshold "box" seal it.

beyond that, fiberglass batting show should fine fill space.
